I am a native of Beverly and attended public schools all the way through my primary education. I received an MBA in International Business from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, and a BA in International Relations from Connecticut College. I have spent most of my life in Massachusetts, and have been a resident of Lynnfield since late 2012.

Professionally, I will bring over twenty years of business experience and a diverse skill set to the Lynnfield School Committee. I am an excellent negotiator and communicator, and have consistently demonstrated a unique ability to establish rapport, build credibility, and cultivate lasting relationships. I am known for my energy and sincere enthusiasm, positive attitude, and open mindedness for new ideas. Throughout my career, I have been recognized as a leader, motivator, mentor and coach. I thrive on challenges and I know how to get things done.

I have been employed by Takeda Oncology (formerly Millennium Pharmaceuticals) since 2005. I joined the field organization in 2009, and am currently a Senior Oncology Sales Specialist in the hematology division. Before moving into sales I worked in quality assurance and sales operations, giving me a breadth of experience in analytics, distribution, compliance, and training.

Prior to joining Takeda/Millennium, I worked in the investment management and legal services industries, including Wellington Management, State Street, and two private law firms.

Since 2006, I have been an active member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association. I have volunteered in a number of different roles, most fulfilling of which was as a mentor for two years in the organization's nationally recognized Mentoring Program. Over the course of five years, I also served in several leadership positions on the Boston Chapter's Board of Directors, including: Director of Strategic Growth Initiatives, Secretary on the Executive Committee, and Director of Programming.

Last year I joined Tomorrow's Women TODAY, and most recently was invited to become a charter member of their sister organization, The Boston Women's Leadership Council. "Tomorrow's Women TODAY - The Boston Women’s Leadership Council is a not-for-profit organization that was founded to bring women together who have been identified as leaders in both the public and private sectors." Through this organization I am strengthening my leadership skills, participating in peer to peer mentoring, and gaining exposure to senior business executives and corporations in and around Boston.

I strive to spend as much time as possible with my family, and I also enjoy running, cycling and swimming, and have participated in a variety of road races, cycling events and triathlons.
